What Hunch is
Hunch is a set of Google Sheets formulas (=HUNCH, =HUNCHPICK, =HUNCHSCORE) and a service behind them that returns a judgment about the text in a cell. Hunch is operated by hunchsheet (Italy). Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record and handles applicable taxes on your purchase.
Credits and keys
- You buy row credits. One credit is spent for each non-blank cell a formula answers. Blank cells, repeated identical texts inside one calculation, and recalculation within six hours are not charged.
- Credits belong to a key, not to a person. Anyone who has the key can spend its credits. Keep it in the Settings sheet of files you trust.
- Credits do not expire. They are not refundable once a key has been issued, because the key is delivered the moment payment clears. If a formula fails on our side, the row is not charged.
- We may issue a new key or move credits between keys when you ask through the contact form and can show the purchase email.
Acceptable use
- Use Hunch on text you are allowed to process. Do not send personal data you have no right to share, and do not use Hunch to make decisions about people that the law reserves for a human review.
- Do not attempt to extract keys from other people's sheets, resell credits, or send traffic that bypasses the formulas and the buy page.
- We may suspend a key that is used to abuse the service or the model behind it. Unused credits on a suspended key are refunded through Stripe.
What we promise, and what we do not
- Answers are probabilities and classifications from a machine-learning model. They can be wrong. Check them before acting on anything that matters.
- We aim to keep the service available and fast, without guaranteeing it. Google quotas, the model provider, and our hosting can each interrupt it.
- Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the credits involved in that claim.
- We may change prices and features. Credits already bought keep working at the price you paid.
Data
What we send, store and never keep is described on the privacy page. In short: cell text passes through to the model provider to compute an answer and is not stored by us; we keep keys, balances, and purchase emails.
Contact
Questions and refund requests go through the contact form. Italian law applies; disputes go to the courts of Italy unless your consumer-protection law says otherwise.
