# About Hunch

Hunch is a small independent product made by Edoardo Panichi, a software developer in Pisa, Italy. It adds AI formulas to Google Sheets and Excel that answer a question about each row of text with a number or one of your labels.

## Why it exists

It started with a column of lead notes in Google Sheets and one question per row. The options were reading 2,000 rows by hand, or pasting them into a chat window and copying paragraphs back into cells. Hunch is a formula that answers instead: type it once, drag it down, sort the column.

## The model behind it

Answers come from Jev, the System One model made by TypeSafe. It returns a calibrated judgment, such as a probability or one option from a list, instead of generated text. Hunch is an independent product built on TypeSafe's API and is not affiliated with Google or Microsoft. ## What we do with your data

The text a formula points at goes to the Hunch server and to TypeSafe to compute the answer, and Hunch does not store it. We keep your key, its balance and the email you bought it with. The [privacy page](https://hunchsheet.app/privacy) has the details.
